Did you know that by simply waxing your car you can gain about 2 miles per gallon more. Is it just me or is it true, what do you think

I love the idea. If it changes MPG it would be less than 1/10th MPG

It's just you. For stock cars that we drive not even the spoilers are decorations and not practical for reducing drag and improving MPGs. And you thought merely having a slick paint surface would help your MPGs? Good luck with that!

I think that estimate is way, way overstated.

I seldom drive any faster than 75 MPH anymore, I then don't see the fuel savings benefit with any of Our vehicles. Preserving looks/duration seems a plus.

No, but interesting thought. Of course if it had a noticeable impact, it would be negated in lets say city driving, inclement weather especially snow, cross winds, and surely others. There is other measures you can take to improve mpg, but I wouldn't put this near the top of your list.

It always makes me feel like my car/truck is running better when I hit the road with a clean vehicle but it is only in my head.

It does not run better or get better mpg.
