" Ethanol would predetonate if it was put into Diesel fuel."
I doubt that is true. A local diesel mechanic told me that his company uses one gallon of ethanol for every tank load of diesel during extremely cold weather to prevent diesel from reaching the cloud point.

ULSD is diesel. It is not gasoline, nor does it contain any. It is not jet fuel, nor does it contain any. It is not ethanol, nor does it contain any.
ULSD may contain up to 20% biodiesel, depending upon where in the country you find it. Perhaps this is what you are really intending to ask.
In Illinois, for example, it is not uncommon to find up to 20% renewable diesel at the pump because the State encourages it. This must be disclosed at the pump, however. Many diesel retailers here post that the fuel may contain between 5 and 20% biodiesel.
The difference between B5 and B20 can be significant depending upon what vehicle you are fueling. Some manufacturers do not warranty anything above B5.

I have never heard of any type of Diesel fuel containing ethanol. Ethanol would predetonate if it was put into Diesel fuel.
