. . .work being done on her this weekend.... oil change, tune-up. Was going to replace the shocks but my buddy doesn't have the right tools to install them. The muffler has a couple of holes in it, but since I've apparently got the wrong muffler, I'll do a repair job on it instead and put the cash into replacing the CV joints... LOL and perhaps invest in some rust inhibitor spray LOL ...</i>

How do u repair the holes in your muffler? My muffler has holes & I've been told that I 'have 2' get a whole new muffler. Many just told me that & wouldnt show me. Molsen, the only mechanic that let me come in when he hoisted the car showed me: rust on the muffler, rust on the pipes all the way to the catalytic. So all the mechanics werent lying. He was also the fairest w/ price: $200.
But $ is tight so if their is cheaper sol'n until more $ is available, pls do share. Thx. cheap mom's orig post
