Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier was condemned and declared "persona non grata" Thursday by the Cannes Film Festival for saying that he sympathizes with Adolf Hitler.

His movie Dogville is the only one where I've ever walked out. It was the first movie of Lars von Trier's "American Trilogy" and features Nicole Kidman as an innocent girl taken in by the people of Dogville, USA, and then exploited. This is how he sees America, yet he claims his hero is Adolf Hitler. Von Trier is just a disgusting vile individual.
