Hello. Some fans can be difficult to replace due to the computer's design. I'm glad that it was only the power supply bearing & not the hard drive bearing. When they fail they do make noise and most of the time the drive starts having problems. Take care - Dan (MGY)

Hello. Your fan topic went quite a bit astray (my fault, but I enjoy GBs on the forums). I stated on 2/27 as did Herbie and Camp that these bearings rarely are repairable by cleaning or lubrication. They are a throw-away item and the bearings are not of good quality. To add life to your computer, keep it clean. I do this on a regular basis and have six computers. Only one computer failed and it was a very old machine. I am sincerely happy for you :-). Dan (MGY)
