VTs Aero space program was rated #3 in the nation when I went there. Not sure of todays rank. Well received in Engineering circles in the National Capitol Region.
They have a flight school at the local airport. Not affiliated with VT. I went into the VT Corps of Cadets VTCC and learned to fly in the Air Force. Hard to do today. Not as many openings and more drones.
If she wants to fly as a profetion consider Embry Riddle or Perdue. They both have programs that lead to muli engine instrument and comercial ratings. A lot of Airline Captains send there kids there to enter the field.
The aielines have not been a good career for the last 15 years and are not projected to get any better. Most Airline pilots discorage there kids mfrom entering the field.
A good open forum to get the pulse of the industry is airlinepilotcentral, com
hope this helps. Could work out for her. there will be lots of retirements in the next 15 years.
