Pay per mile would be ideal, everyone would pay for what they use. However some states don't have annual inspection also it would not account for travel out of state. That would require some thinking. Lets be buddies

I don't understand your problem with UAW. How can under paid workers without benefits help the us economy. The cars will be sold at the same price and the CEO will just make more cash. Also, If you have a job that offers Pension, Health care, Vacation time, Sick time... Thank UNIONS These benefits were nonexistent before UNIONS

You and everyone better get gassed up! Prices are going higher at the pump as I write this, as well as on the open markets, plus the holiday is coming. A triple whammy! Not to mention that Isaac is headed for the Gulf! Pass the word around!

1. Stop printing money like hot cakes 2. Control oil traders 3. Drill on Fed land 4. Stop saying WE need $5/$9 gas 5. More tax on all oil/gas exports 6. Sure some really smart guy could name a few more... 1. Easier said than done. What's your plan to prevent a double dip recession? 2. No argument there but can you convince Congress? 3. No way. Save the federal land for our grandchildren. Big Oil shouldn't reap even bigger profits at the expense of the American people. 4. Who says we need $4-$9 gas??? What we need are more efficient ways to use the gas we have. I'm just afraid $2 gas means we're right back to monster SUVs on the road. We don't need that. 5. Absolutely! I say an 85% tariff on oil exports. Keep it here so it can drive down OUR gas prices. 6. Too many smart guys out there. What we need are leaders that have enough spine to make the hard decisions and not worry about re-election.

I have thought long and hard on this before, it would probably take 4-10 days at most; with that said, 7-10 days concerns me. My concern, is that some communities, the brand outlets maybe mom & pop operations vice corporate operated; my goal is not to hurt them or their employees; they in themselves are only trying to make a living my pumping fuel. If denial of patronage is too long, it begins to hurt the little guy. I am concerned for the employees at these outlets as they are the unfortunate pawns in this melee.
