The whole country takes off work during August; everyone living downtown wants to head to the beach. There is a traffic standstill just about every way anyone turns during daylight hours (I loved living there; I'd go back to Italy to vacation in a minute if I had the $$$$$$)...

We didn't mind, from a distance it looked terrible.

Bet there are still exceptions even so.
